The Belvedere Palace - translated:  "Beautiful Palace"

The Belvedere Palace is used as an art museum and it holds the largest collection in the world of painter Gustav Klimt.  He may not be well known to you by name, but the current theatrical release of "The Woman In Gold" starring Ryan Reynolds is based on HIS painting which is normally on display here (it's in New York currently)!

The Schonbrunn Palace was the "summer home" for Maria-Theresa, queen of Austria-Hungary, of the Hapsburg Dynasty.  Over 2.6 million visitors walk through the gorgeous palace each year.  If you miss your appointment time by as much as five minutes you are told you can make another one.....next year!  There are 1,141 rooms in the palace, and much to our surprise we found out that the government rents out the rooms on the second & third floors to Viennese residents.  So it is very possible that if you asked someone from Vienna where they live, they could say they actually live in the palace.
The palace still contains the original furnishings and they are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G
